Water baths for variable use in biological, medical or biochemical laboratories for temperatures from 25 to 100 °C. Shaking water baths from 10 to 99.9 °C for the lab.

The LAUDA Hydro series are optimally equipped for every application in the laboratory. These water baths ensure homogeneous temperature distribution without local overheating. High-quality stainless steel baths with precise temperature distribution and optional circulation.

Shaking water baths of the LAUDA Hydro series move samples in the laboratory with a linear or orbital shaking movement, depending on the model. LAUDA Hydro shaking water baths are reliable companions for continuous operation in daily laboratory work.

Heating Concept – Homogenous bath temperature

  • Heating element is located directly under the sieve plate providing homogenous temperature distribution in the bath
  • Heating capacity is adapted to the bath size allowing the set temperature to be rapidly reached
  • Overtemperature safety sensor to prevent overheating
  • Calibration of the controller by reference thermometer for optimal temperature accuracy
R

Controller – self explanatory, easy operation

  • Large high-contrast TFT display (3.5”)
  • Membrane keypad with four softkeys
  • Menu-guided operation
  • Enhanced visual and audible alarms for more sample safety
  • Temperature display either in°C or°F
  • Backward-inclined operation elements–>Protection of electronics from dripping water and dirt.
R

Operation – easy to handle from filling to cleaning

  • All water baths are provided with a sieve plate as standard. No racks necessary. Flasks, containers can be placed directly on sieve plate.
  • Max. mark to prevent no overflow
  • Drain valve at the rear side for convenient emptying
  • Easy removal of sieve plate for cleaning
R

Safety functions – 2-fold temperature protection

  • Electronic monitoring of the temperature controller
  • Cause of failure to show on display, bath heating will switch off
  • Optical and acoustic alarm in case of water shortage, over/under temperature as well as sensor break/short circuit
  • Two independently operating temperature fuses

  • Bath interior made of stainless steel
  • All GFL products are renowned for their durability, reliability and long life

Water baths

LAUDA Hydro baths offer the right bath depth and opening for every application with bath volumes from 4 to 41 litres. All water baths offer a temperature range of up to 100 °C with a temperature constancy of ±0.1 K, so that applications in the boiling range are also possible. A TFT color display ensures intuitive operation with a temperature display in °C and °F.

  • Temperature range: +5 °C above ambient to 100 °C (boiling point)
  • Two water baths with a circulation system
  • Large high contrast TFT-color display
  • Enhanced visual and audible alarms for more sample safety
  • Process specific temperature adjustment
  • Temperature display either in °C or °F
  • Three application-specific timer functions

Shaking water baths

The built-in speed controller of LAUDA Hydro shaking water baths allows a load-independent, infinitely adjustable shaking movement with a smooth start-up. The two shaking water baths H 20 SW and H 20 SOW are equipped with a cooling coil as standard. The temperature range of the shaking water baths can be extended downwards to up to +10 °C by connecting them to the domestic water supply or to commercially available circulating coolers.

  • Microprocessor-controlled temperature regulation ensures fast heating up to the set temperature and an excellent temperature stability: ±0.1 K
  • Constant load-independent shaking frequency even during continuous operation
  • Maintenance-free and durable electronically controlled shaking device with gentle start-up.
  • The device types H 20 S and H 20 SW are designed for linear, oscillating shaking motion, while the device type H 20 SOW moves the sample in an orbital manner.
  • A cooling coil is built-in the types H 20 SW and H 20 SOW as standard, for connection to the water mains or to an external recirculating chiller

Tissue Float Baths

Tissue float baths are used in histological, chemical, clinical and bacteriological laboratories for stretching and drying cut tissue samples. The exact temperature control of the LAUDA Hydro tissue float bath ensures evenly stretched sections that are clearly visible in the bath and guarantees gentle drying of the stretched sections on the heated edge.

The LAUDA Hydro tissue float bath operates in a temperature range of 25 to 80 °C and a temperature stability of ±0.5 K. The bath body consists of black anodized aluminum.
